Learned counsel for the petitioner is directed to remove all the defects pointed out by the office within one month. In this case, the petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. C1-1816/18 registered for the offence punishable under section 498(A), 379 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

As per allegation, the marriage of the complainant was solemnized with son of the present petitioner and the petitioner subjected the complainant to cruelty for non-fulfillment of demand

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.984 of 2021(2) dt.29-10-2021 2/2 of transfer of homestead land in favour of her husband by her parents. Lastly, the complainant was driven away from her matrimonial house.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is mother-in-law of the complainant, having no relation with day to day affairs of the couple. She is an old lady and still ready to keep her daughter-in-law with full dignity and honour. Considering the fact that the petitioner is mother-in-law of the complainant, having no concern with day to day affairs of the couple, let the petitioner, in the event of her arrest or surrender, within four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Sadar, Sitamarhi in Complaint Case No.C1-1816/2018, subject to condition as laid down under section 438(2) Cr. P.C. Office shall ensure that all defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time mentioned in paragraph 2 hereinabove, failing which, the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
