Petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498A, 304B, 34 of I.P.C.

Earlier prayer for regular bail of the petitioner has been twice rejected as detailed in paragraph no. 2 of this application.

Informant has alleged that petitioner (husband) assaulted and ousted her from her matrimonial house due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. It has been further alleged that petitioner on 25.05.2018 set her ablaze and thereafter took her in hospital and fled away along with his family members.

Report of the trial court has been received, which is kept at Flag X, in which, it has been stated that out of 15 witnesses, 7 witnesses have been examined and it is stated in the report that trial is likely to be concluded soon. In view of the above, considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same within a period of one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. (S. Kumar, J) Rajiv/veenaU
