The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case No. 253 of 2020 dated 26.08.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 30, 30(a), 38 (i) (ii) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It appears from the prosecution report that 160.38 litres of liquor has been recovered from a vehicle of which the petitioner is stated to be the driver.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he had no idea that the liquor was loaded on his vehicle. He is a person of clean antecedent and is in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35746 of 2020(2) dt.19-01-2021 2/2 custody since 27.08.2020.

Regard being had to the period of the custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 02nd Additional Sessions Judge-cumSpecial Judge, Excise, Saran, in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case No. 253 of 2020.
