The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to transfer the entire balance amount lying in the pension account no. 2085/P of the petitioner's late husband into the petitioner's family pension account no. 16320100503155 operating at UCO bank, Sibaipatti Branch, District Sheohar, with interest and cost.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner's husband, late Jai Mangal Rai Rakesh, died on 26.01.2007 after having retired from service in the Indian Railways. He left behind a sum of Rs. 1,67,683/- in his pension account no. 2085/P at the time of his death, to which the petitioner claims to be entitled. Accordingly, she submitted all relevant documents to the respondent bank as far back as in March, 2007 itself.

4. This Court is of the view that the ends of justice will be met if the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Manager, UCO

Patna High Court CWJC No.20671 of 2013 dt.19-08-2016 2/2 Bank, Sibaipatti Branch at Sibaipatti, P.O. and P.S. Sibaipatti, District Sheohar (respondent no. 2) with an appropriate representation in this regard within two weeks from today. If any such representation is filed within the stipulated time, the respondent no. 2 shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law, after grant of an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, expeditiously and preferably within a further period of three months thereafter.

5. Considering that the application of the petitioner (Annexure-3 series) is said to be pending for more than nine years, the respondent bank shall sympathetically consider the petitioner's claim for interest for the delayed transfer of the amount in question.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
