JUSTICE AHSANUDDIN AMANULLAH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 03-04-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; State and Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur (hereinafter referred to as the 'University').
2. In view of pleadings on record, it appears that the amount of Group Insurance has been paid to the petitioner. However, from the records, it transpires that the amount does not carry up-todate interest, i.e., till the date of actual payment to the petitioner.
3. Learned counsel for the University submitted that they shall pay the up-to-date interest.
4. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed off
Patna High Court CWJC No.17038 of 2016 dt.03-04-2018 2/2 with a direction to the respondents no. 3 and 4 to ensure that the remaining amount of interest calculated till the date of actual payment to the petitioner on the entire amount be made within three weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order before them.
5. The Court would only observe that as the order is being passed on commitment made by learned counsel for the University before the Court, any violation shall entail serious consequences.
