2. The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Special Case No. 113 of 2023 arising out of Narpatganj P.S. Case No. 691 of 2023 instituted under Section 21(a) of the NDPS Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, 150 bottles of 100 ML each i.e., 15 litres of Escuf Syrup (codeine rich syrup) has been recovered.

4. The petitioner has been named in the self inculpatory statement of the co-accused. A person dealing with contraband articles does not deserve anticipatory bail.

5. Accordingly, the application stands dismissed.

6. If the petitioner surrenders within four weeks from today and prays for regular bail, the same shall be considered by the Court below in accordance with law without being prejudiced by the present order.
