The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 302, 304B, 498A and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the daughter of the informant who was married to the petitioner herein was tortured for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry to the tune of Rs.2 lacs. She was ultimately done to death.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased. He has been falsely implicated in the case. The daughter of the informant committed suicide by hanging. The petitioner is in custody since 4.4.2022 and has no criminal antecedent.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the nature of allegation, the petitioner being the husband of the deceased and the contents of the postmortem report, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after six months or after framing of charge, whichever is later.
