JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 23-04-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks direction to the Circle Officer, Surajgarha to accept the rent and to issue rent receipts in his favour with respect to the land of Khesra No.235 appertaining to Khata No.377, Tauzi No.357, Thana No.38, Mauza, Paharpur measuring an area of 19 decimals as he claims to be the khatiani raiyat. It is submitted that the rent receipts were being issued in the name of his grandfather but, after his death, when the petitioner has applied for acceptance of rent and issuance of rent receipt in his favour, no order is being passed by the Circle Officer concerned. On such representation having been filed, let the Circle Officer take a decision within six weeks from the date of its filing. The order should be reasoned one and it should be immediately communicated to the petitioner.
