The petitioner is accused in connection with Excise Case No. 84 of 2016, registered under Section 47(a) of the Excise Act.
The accusation is of recovery of a bag containing 10 bottle (1800 ML each) foreign liquor from the bushes situated behind the line hotel of the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the alleged 10 bottle of foreign liquor are said to be recovered from the bushes situated behind the line hotel of the petitioner and not from the conscious possession of the petitioner. The petitioner having no criminal antecedent is in custody since 10.05.2016.
