This application for regular bail arises out of Kowakol P.S. Case No. 169 of 2019, disclosing the offences punishable under Sections 302, 201 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioner's prayer for grant of regular bail was earlier rejected by an order of this Court dated 13.10.2020, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 16146 of 2020, noticing the fact that on the petitioner's confessional statement the dead body of the deceased concealed behind bushes was recovered by the police. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that similarly circumstanced co-accused have

Be that as it may, considering the incriminating materials collected against the petitioner during course of investigation, as noticed in this Court's order dated 13.10.2020, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail for the present.
This application is accordingly rejected.
From the report received from the court below it transpires that charge has been framed in this case. It is observed that the petitioner shall be at liberty to renew his prayer for grant of regular bail after six months, if, in the meanwhile, there is no substantial progress at the trial.
