2. The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Jamui P.S. Case No. 740 of 2024 dated 18.11.2024, instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 309(4), 319(2) and 308(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

3. The prosecution case, in short, is that on 18.11.2024 when the informant alongwith his maternal uncle was coming to Jamui then one accused stopped his motorcycle and took him under the bridge and started demanding a sum of Rs. 5500/-. The accused person also snatched the motorcycle. Beneath the bridge, three other accused persons also assembled and started abusing the informant and claimed themselves as Finance Officers. The informant later on inquired from the Finance

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41555 of 2025(2) dt.09-07-2025 2/3 officials then he came to know that the Finance Company has not sent any person for seizure of the motorcycle. It is further alleged that the informant continuously received calls from one mobile number for Rangdari.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. It is further submitted that petitioner is Yard In-charge of Mahadeo Enterprises and he used to inform and update the customer concerned, who has taken financial aid. It is apparent from the F.I.R. that petitioner was not present at the time of occurrence. Further submission is that the matter has already been settled between the parties outside the Court and a compromise petition has already been filed before the concerned court by the parties. Lastly, it has been submitted that petitioner has no criminal antecedents.

5. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest / surrender of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from today, in connection with Jamui P.S. Case No. 740 of 2024, he shall be released on anticipatory bail upon
