2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Triveniganj P.S. Case No. 71/2026, lodged on 17/02/2026 under Sections 80(2), 238 and 3(5) of the BNS and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

3. As per the prosecution case, the present FIR has been lodged with allegation on killing the daughter of the informant for non-fulfillment of dowry demand.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No. 38308 of 2026(3) dt.24-07-2026 2/3 petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He further submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated as the marriage of the petitioner was solemnized with the deceased in the year 2021 and since then not a single complaint was lodged against the petitioner. In fact, the deceased was residing in the house of the petitioner with full honour and dignity. Moreover, the post-mortem report suggests that the deceased was not subject to cruelty and no injury has been found on her body. However, the petitioner is willing to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Hon'ble Court in the event of his release on bail. He further submits that the petitioner was accused in one criminal case, in which he is on bail. He further submits that he is in custody since 18/02/2026. Learned Counsel for the petitioner further submits that subsequently upon realising the truth the informant after death of the deceased has filed a petition before the Trial Court that he is not interested to pursue this case further.

5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the allegation of dowry death is there.

6. In the present facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No. 38308 of 2026(3) dt.24-07-2026 3/3 petitioner in connection with Triveniganj P.S. Case No. 71/2026, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Supaul, is hereby rejected.
