The petitioner seeks bail in Muzaffarpur Rail P.S. case No. 48/2020 registered u/s 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act.

The informant intercepted a vehicle which was stuck between the railway line. The petitioner was apprehended and he disclosed that Rajesh Paswan, driver of the vehicle, managed to flee away after seeing the police. On search, 458 liters of liquor was recovered.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is cleaner of the pick up van. The petitioner is in custody since 11.08.2020. The petitioner has already remained in jail for more than five and half months.
