The petitioner seeks bail in Paliganj P.S. case No. 132 of 2014 under Section 304B, 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The mother of the deceased made allegation that her daughter was married with the petitioner three years ago but the petitioner and others were demanding additional dowry and for that they were torturing her daughter. She further alleged that the accused persons killed her daughter and hurriedly disposed of her dead body in order to screen out the offence. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the course of investigation some of the independent witnesses were examined and they have stated that the deceased died due to illness but no document is attached with the bail

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9952 of 2017 (3) dt.23-03-2017 2/2 petition that the deceased was ever suffering from any ailment. The petitioner is husband and his wife died within three years of marriage.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the same is rejected.

The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and, if possible, conclude the same within one year.
