====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRAVEEN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 08-07-2026 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the Vigilance Department.
2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No. 45 of 2026 dated 16.04.2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 7(a) of the Prevntion of Corruption Act.
3. As per the allegation, a sum of Rs. 50,000/- was demanded by one Lalbabu Rajak, who was posted as Revenue Officer, from the complainant. On his direction, the petitioner being a private employee allegedly took the said bribe amount. Thereafter, a trap was laid and the petitioner was caught red

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. It has further been submitted that petitioner is a private employee and as such Section 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act would not be applicable against her. It has further been submitted that the charge-sheet has been submitted against the petitioner and there is no allegation of tampering against her. It has further been submitted that she has two minor daughters and there is no one to take care. It has further been submitted that petitioner is ready to co-operate in the trial. It has lastly been submitted that petitioner is a lady and she is in custody since 18.04.2026 and has got no criminal antecedent.
5. Learned counsel for the Vigilance Department has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that petitioner was caught red handed and she has active connivance with the main accused and at his instance she took the amount.
6. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records.

Considering the intervening facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner above-named is
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.45369 of 2026(2) dt.08-07-2026 3/3 directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Bhagalpur in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No. 45 of 2026.
8. The application stands allowed.
