This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Sections 25(1-B)a and 26 of the Arms Act. From the possession of the petitioner, a loaded country made pistol was recovered besides a cartridges. The petitioner is in custody since 23.12.2016. Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, of similar nature, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
The prayer for bail is refused.
The learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude it, preferably within a year, failing which the petitioner shall be at liberty to renew the prayer. (Birendra Kumar, J) SA/- U √ T √
