Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Masaurhi P.S. Case No.468 of 2016 registered under Sections 302 and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation is that after marriage the son-in-law of the informant used to demand a golden chain and in that connection tortured his wife and as a result of torture, his wife committed suicide along with her one daughter by setting fire and her dead body was disposed of.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the younger brother of the deceased's husband having no concern with their matrimonial affair and the specif accusation of demand of golden chain is against the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20328 of 2018(4) dt.17-07-2018 2/2 husband of the deceased and not by the petitioner and the husband is in custody.
Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, petitioner Ritesh Kumar @ Bitesh Kumar is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Masaurhi in connection with Masaurhi P.S.
