JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 18-03-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in Mairwa P.S. Case No.117 of 2016 registered under Sections 386/387 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation in brief is that a demand of Rs.25,000/- as extortion money was made from the informant by a mobile number mentioned in the F.I.R. and from the other end, it is alleged that this petitioner made a call.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this petitioner was in custody at the relevant period and on his name, another person have made the call and he has no concern with him. This petitioner has been in custody since 15.11.2016 and another co-accused has been granted bail by a Co-ordinate Bench

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.11442 of 2017 (2) dt.18-03-2017 2/2 of this Court by order dated 18.1.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No.48473 of 2016.

Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the petitioner, namely, Chandan Singh @ Chandan Kumar Singh is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of C.J.M., Siwan in connection with Mairwa P.S. Case No.117 of 2016.
