Having regard to the admitted position that the petitioner facing prosecution for offence under sections 147, 148, 149, 448, 323, 324, 326, 302 of the Indian Penal Code being named accused in the F.I.R. has successfully remained absconding for a period of two years, this Court would not be inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
The prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is, accordingly, rejected but then it is made clear that nothing said in this order shall come in the way of the petitioner in surrendering and making a prayer for regular bail.
