1. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that by order dated 26.09.2023 passed in Cr.W.J.C. No. 710 of 2021 this court directed the Inspector General of Police, Mithila Range, Darbhanga to consider the complaint of the petitioner no. 1 and pass a reasoned order in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production / receipt of a copy of the order. The order was not complied and show cause was filed by opposite party no. 4 stating that in contemplation of the departmental proceeding, show cause has been asked from the then S.H.O., Andharathadhi, Madhubani for his misconduct. Accordingly this court directed learned counsel for the State by order dated 18.10.2024 to file supplementary show cause bringing on record the order passed by the Inspector General of Police, Mithila Range, Darbhanga within a period of four weeks.

2. Learned counsel for the opposite party no. 4 submits that a supplementary show cause has been filed by the Inspector General of Police, Mtihila Range, Darbhanga stating that in

Patna High Court MJC No.1902 of 2024(5) dt.19-03-2025 3/3 pursuance of the complaint filed by the petitioner, a departmental proceeding has been initiated against the Inspector Amrit Lal Barman and he has been removed from the post of S.H.O., Biraul and has been sent to Police Lines, Darbhanga.

3. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the fact that departmental proceeding has been initiated on the basis of complaint lodged by the petitioner no. 1, in my opinion contempt is not required to be initiated against the opposite parties. The same is dropped.
