The petitioner seeks bail in N.T.P.C. Khaira P.S. Case No. 54 of 2016, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 25(1-b)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. From the possession of the petitioner one loaded country made pistol and one live cartridge was recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in jail since 11.12.2016, but it appears that the petitioner has got criminal antecedent and he is accused in as many as eight criminal cases including the case registered under Section 302 and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.12103 of 2017 (4) dt.18-04-2017 2/2 enlarge the petitioner above named on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the same is rejected.

The petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after remaining eight months in custody.
