JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR JHA ORAL ORDER 02-08-2024 The present petition has been filed for extension of time period of eight weeks granted to the petitioner for surrender while allowing his anticipatory bail petition vide order dated 22.02.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 7867 of 2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner could not be communicated by the learned counsel about the order of this Court granting him anticipatory bail. Further, the petitioner has been suffering from jaundice from 05.04.2024 to 24.05.2024 and he was on bed till 25th May, 2024 and a certificate of Homeopathy doctor has been attached. Learned counsel prays for modification of the order dated 22.02.2024 by extending the time given for surrender of the petitioner.

3. Perused the records.

4. Apparently, the reason given for non-surrender of the petitioner within the time provided by this order of this Court does not seem satisfactory rather appears to be lame excuse. However, considering the fact that the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail, the order dated 22.02.2024 is modified granting further time of four weeks to the petitioner to surrender before the learned trial court subject to payment of Rs.10,000/-in the Patna High Court Legal Services Committee.

5. Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of.
