Petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Petitioner is the husband of victim lady who died in unnatural circumstances in her matrimonial home within two years of her marriage and allegation is of demand of dowry and torture for the same.

Submission is that there is no direct evidence against the petitioner and this may be a case of suicide due to family quarrel. The petitioner is in custody since 17.08.2016. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.11751 of 2017 (4) dt.08-05-2017 for bail in connection with Puraini P.S. Case No.24 of 2016 pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Udakighunganj, District-Madhepura is refused. The learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial.
