Petitioner seeks bail in Gopalpur P.S. Case No.204 of 2020 registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The police intercepted one car and a motorcycle. The petitioner was driving the car but on being signaled to stop, the petitioner started fleeing away leaving the car on the road. The police apprehended the petitioner and on search of the car, 225 litres of liquor was recovered. From the motorcyclist, 18 litres of liquor was recovered. For recovery of 225 litres of liquor, the petitioner has remained in jail for five months and he has got no criminal antecedent.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, the petitioner named above is directed to be released on bail on

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36441 of 2020(2) dt.30-01-2021 2/2 furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Excise, Gopalganj in connection with Gopalpur P.S. Case No.204 of 2020.
