JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 14-07-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the State. The petitioners seek bail in a case registered for offence punishable under Sections 2, 16 read with 38 (V), (12), 49 (B), 51, 52 and 57 of Wildlife Protection Act.

It is alleged that there is alleged recovery of tiger skin and bones from the motorcycle on which three persons were riding including the petitioners. It is further alleged that the petitioners have confessed their guilt before the authorities of killing the tiger. However, it is contended that charge sheet has already been submitted and the petitioners have remained in custody since 20.01.2016.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.26539 of 2016 (2) dt.14-07-2016 2/2 petitioners, namely, Chandeo Mahto @ Chanddeo Mahto and Krishna Mohan Khataiyat are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-1st, Bagaha, West Champaran in connection with I.F. Case No.07 of 2016.

If the petitioners, after their release in this case, are again found involved in similar nature of cases then the concerned court would be at liberty to take steps for cancellation of their bail bond.
