The petitioner, who is the husband of the informant, seeks bail in connection with Nautan P. S. Case No. 124 of 2020 dated 25.04.2020, instituted for offences under Sections 341, 323, 498A, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that even though he is desirous of negotiating with the informant for rapprochement and of resumption

The petitioner has remained in custody since 26.04.2020.

Considering the period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge 9th, Bettiah, West Champaran, in connection with Nautan P. S. Case No. 124 of 2020.

However, it would be open for the petitioner to make an application before the court below disclosing his intention of mediation with his wife.

The petition stands allowed.
