In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No.198 of 2016, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 272 & 273/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 47A of the Excise Amendment Act.

On secret information, the vehicle was intercepted by the police and from the beneath of the seat Mahua liquor was recovered.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is only a passenger and has nothing to do with the Mahua liquor recovered from the vehicle. He further submits

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.32473 of 2016 (2) dt.18-08-2016 2/2 that the petitioner is in jail since 17.6.2016. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner-Sahodari Devi, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10, 000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sherghati, Gaya, in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No.198 of 2016.
