The petitioner has been in custody since 19.09.2017 in connection with Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 309/2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 395/412 of the Indian Penal Code.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though he is not named in the First Information Report yet on the basis of the confessional statement made before the police by the co-accused, the petitioner's name has surfaced and he is facing prosecution. It is further submitted that no T.I. Parade has been conducted and the similarly situated co-accused Santosh Kumar has since been extended the privilege of regular bail vide order dated 27.04.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 24689 of 2018.

Case No. 309/2017.
