BAJANTHRI) 01-11-2023 The present M.J.C./Contempt petition is filed for noncompliance of the Judgment/Order of this Court dated 23.06.2020 passed in C.W.J.C. No.12431 of 2019.

2. During the pendency of the confiscation proceedings, the petitioner had approached this Court in filing the aforementioned writ petition. This Court had directed the petitioner to appear on 10th July, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. before the appropriate authority. Beyond the control of the petitioner and

Patna High Court MJC No.1689 of 2021(4) dt.01-11-2023 2/2 the fact that COVID-19 was in vogue, the petitioner could not appear before the appropriate authority on the date and time fixed by this Court. Thereafter, petitioner appeared on 20th October, 2020. In the result, confiscation proceedings has attained its finality on 12.01.2021

3. In view of these facts and the circumstances, there is substantial compliance to the Judgment/Order of this Court dated 23.06.2020 passed in C.W.J.C. No.12431 of 2019. Hence, the present M.J.C./Contempt Petition stands dropped reserving liberty to the petitioner to invoke proper remedy, if he is aggrieved by any decisions of the official respondents. (P. B.
