The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 57 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
The allegation is regarding huge quantity of Ganja being recovered by the police from a truck.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is neither the driver nor khalasi of the said truck and even otherwise he is not connected in any way with the alleged recovery of Ganja. It is further submitted that when the petitioner was on morning walk, he was apprehended by the police and was falsely implicated in the present case. The petitioner is having
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.27190 of 2018 (3) dt.09-07-2018 2/2 clean antecedent and is languishing in custody since 07.05.2017. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Ist Additional District and Sessions Judge Cum Special Judge (N.D.P.S.) Purnia, District-Purnia in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 57 of 2017.
