The petitioner is in custody in connection with Naubatpur P.S. Case No. 248 of 2020, G.R. No. 1526/2020 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 302 IPC.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and the informant are Gotias. There is land dispute and on account of land dispute the scuffle took place. The petitioner is in custody since 20.5.2020. Considering the materials available on the record, the Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The prayer is rejected at this stage.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36765 of 2020(2) dt.01-02-2021 2/2 The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of the order.

The Superintendent of Police, Patna is directed to ensure examination of all the prosecution witnesses at the earliest so that the trial may be concluded within the time frame indicated above.

In case, the trial is not concluded, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after one year.
