The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Garkha P.S. Case No. 215 of 2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 307, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation against the petitioner is of having assaulted the informant and his mother by means of a knife. Though the informant has received simple injuries but the mother of the informant has received grievous stab injuries

Considering the aforesaid nature of the accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him notwithstanding the fact that there is counter version of the occurrence and the petitioner also is said to have been injured in that occurrence.

However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below and seeks bail, that petition shall be considered on its own merits, without being prejudiced by the fact that the present petition on his behalf has not been entertained. (Ashutosh Kumar, J) sunilkumar/- U T
