The petitioner, being the husband of the sister of the informant, is languishing in custody since 20.07.2016 in a case under Sections 498A, 341, 323, 307 and 324/34 of the Indian Penal Code and 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The basic accusation is of torture for non-fulfillment of dowry demand.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that when the informant along with his two brothers went for bidai of his sister, they were assaulted. At earlier point of time the petitioner lodged a case against the sister of the informant and the injuries of the informant has been found simple in nature. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Bihta P.S. Case No. 425 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Danapur, Patna.
