The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Ara Town P.S. Case No. 256 of 2016 registered under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 47, 50 and 54 of the Bihar Excise Amendment Act, 2016.
Regard being had to the alleged recovery of huge quantity of Indian made foreign liquor from the house of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him bail. Accordingly, the application for bail is rejected.
In case, the trial of the petitioner is not concluded within seven months from the date of framing of charge, he would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
