The grievance of the petitioner is that although he has applied for the arms licence under the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 before the District Magistrate, Aurangabad as back as on 25.1.2012 and whereafter the matter has progressed but no final order has been passed by the District Magistrate on his application.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking note of the nature of grievance and the status of the matter as reflected from the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Aurangabad to consider and dispose of the application of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.186 of 2015 (2) dt.12-02-2015 petitioner for grant of arms licence expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
