Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within two weeks of the complete start of the physical Court in normal course.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Special Case No. 09 of 2021, CIS No. 09 of 2021 (NDPS Act) (arising out of Baisi P. S. Case No. 55 of 2021) for the offences punishable under Sections 8/20(b)(ii)(c)/25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

From perusal of the report submitted by the learned 9th

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.49385 of 2021(3) dt.16-05-2022 2/2 Additional District and Sessions Judge, Civil Court, Punrea, Bihar, communicated vide letter no. 176, dated 22.04.2022, it appears that substantial progress has taken place in conduct of the trial.

The accusation made against the petitioner is recovery of 99.795 kg. of Ganja.

Considering the serious nature of allegation made against the petitioner and substantial progress in conduct of trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the present bail application is rejected. The trial court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously.
