Petitioner is languishing in custody in connection with Barahat P.S. Case No. 73 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 376/420 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is alleged to have sexually exploited the informant on the pretext of marriage. Charge sheet has already been submitted in this case.

Submission is that parties have entered into a compromise.

Considering the allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The bail prayer of the petitioner is refused. If the trial is not concluded within nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the petitioner may renew the prayer for bail.
