Petitioner claims that despite application having been made for grant of arms license of N.P. Bore Pistol in January, 2010, no decision has been taken as yet by the District MagistrateCum-Collector, Patna in this regard. In the meantime, it appears that vide Annexure-1 dated 01.04.2010, the District Arms Magistrate had written to the Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi for verification of address etc. Thereafter, the Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi had written to the Officer-in-Charge, Riga Police

Patna High Court CWJC No.16079 of 2011 (2) dt.03-08-2015 2/2 Station for the said purpose, however, the petitioner claims that he has not heard anything regarding the grant of license till date. In above view of the matter, this application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to take a decision upon the application of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if the same has already not been taken. The Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi is also directed to immediately respond to the Annexure-1, if he has not responded as yet. (Dr. Ravi Ranjan, J) N.H./- U
