The petitioner is in custody since 28.7.2014 in connection with Biraul P.S. Case No.244 of 2014 registered for the offences under Sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present case was lodged against the petitioner as the deceased had entered into her house in an inebriated state and had forced himself on the daughter of the petitioner, which led to the commission of the offence in retaliation and self-defence.
