JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 22-06-2017 Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State. Pursuant to this Court's order, dated 09.05.2017, a report has been received by the Juvenile Justice Board, Samastipur, as regards the present status of the enquiry, under Section 14 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

From the said report, it appears that the enquiry, under Section 14 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, has commenced. In that view of the matter, I direct the Juvenile Justice Board, Samastipur, to expedite the enquiry and conclude it within a period of four months from the date of communication of the present order.

No.346 of 2017 (4) dt.22-06-2017 2/2 If the enquiry, under Section 14 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, is not concluded by the Juvenile Justice Board, Samastipur, within the aforesaid period of four months, the petitioner may renew his prayer for his release on bail before appropriate forum in accordance with law.

This application stands disposed of with the observation and direction, as above.
