JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 18-02-2016 Heard Sri Mayank Rukhaiyar, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned AC to GA-7 as well as learned counsel appearing on behalf of Respondent/Patna University. The present writ petition was filed with a prayer to direct the Respondents to pay difference of salary of the petitioner accrued on account of pay revision by the Respondent University and also to pay interest.
At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners accepts that during pendency of the writ petition, entire arrear has already been paid. However, the petitioner has not been paid interest on delayed payment.
Patna High Court CWJC No.7796 of 2011 (6) dt.18-02-2016 2/2 The Court is of the opinion that since the main relief i.e. claim of arrear of difference of salary, has already been granted, there is no need to keep the matter pending in respect of claim for interest. If so advised, the petitioner may approach the authority concerned in respect of claim of interest. The writ petition stands disposed of.
