2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Arwal P.S. Case No. 339 of 2023 instituted under Sections 498A and 304B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, accused persons including the petitioner committed death of the grand-daughter of the informant for dowry who was married with the coaccused Prince Kumar one year prior to filing of the case.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and due to the quarrel with husband, the victim committed suicide when no

No.42646 of 2024(2) dt.10-07-2024 2/3 family member of her matrimonial house including the petitioner was present at that time at the house which is supported from the statement of the witnesses and post-mortem report. The informant party also participated in the cremation of the deceased after information, however, falsely lodged the case against the accused persons. He further submits that the husband of the victim has been granted regular bail by the Trial Court. The petitioner has no concern with the affair of victim and her husband. The petitioner is an old person having no criminal antecedent and the petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the investigation and the trial.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks from today, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount to each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Arwal / Concerned Trial Court in connection with Arwal P.S. Case No. 339 of 2023, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure,
