2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Sheikhpura Mahila P.S. Case No. 70 of 2022, registered for offence punishable under Sections 323, 341, 376, 420, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per prosecution case, this petitioner raped the victim several times in the name of getting her job and also cheated her money.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence, but only in order to extort money from petitioner, this false and concocted case has been lodged. He further submits that the informant is
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.38942 of 2025(2) dt.24-07-2025 2/2 habitual in filing such type of case, as would appear from Mandu (W.B.O.P.) P.S. Case No. 23 of 2018, which was registered against one Rajeev Ranjan Pandey for the offence under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (copy of F.I.R. is annexed as Annexure -P2 to the supplementary affidavit).
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that there is specific and direct allegation against this petitioner of committing rape and cheating. During investigation, number of witnesses have supported the prosecution case.
