The petitioner prays for grant of bail in connection with Jakkanpur P.S. Case No. 21 of 2016, registered under Section 3⁄4 of the Explosive Substance Act.

Police arrived in the room occupied by the petitioner and one co- accused Saurav Kumar Gupta and said to have recovered bomb and bomb preparation materials/articles. Contention of the petitioner is that even according to the First Information Report, it was the co- occupant who accepted the preparation of the bomb and not the petitioner who is languishing in custody since 05.02.2016. Considering the allegations and other materials reflected from the record, I am not persuaded to extend the privilege of bail to the petitioner. Rejected. However, the petitioner is granted liberty to renew prayer for bail after five months.
