The petitioner seeks bail in Excise Case No. 21/2019, instituted for offences under Section(s) 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is alleged in the written report that on getting secret information, police party started vehicle checking at Tetariya More near Ratanganj and intercepted one Mahindra Pick-up Van. On search total 809.625 litres of foreign liquor was recovered from the aforesaid vehicle. Petitioner was driver of the vehicle.

It is mentioned in para 3 of bail petition that one more case is pending against this petitioner.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41019 of 2019(2) dt.09-07-2019 2/2 Considering the recovery of huge quantity of illicit liquor from the vehicle, of which petitioner was driver, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.

Petitioner will be at liberty to renew the prayer for bail after six months in the event no substantive progress is made in trial. (Sanjay Priya, J) rakhi/- U T
