Manisha Singh, learned Counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, and Mr. P.N. Shahi, learned Additional Advocate General No.10, appearing on behalf of the State-respondents.
With the help of this writ petition, made under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in the form of Public Interest Litigation, the petitioner objects to the posting, on ad hoc basis or on deputation, of Medical Officers ignoring seniority. It is also the grievance of the petitioner that State Programme Officers have also been appointed on deputation or on ad hoc basis. By filing a counter affidavit, respondent No.3, namely, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, has submitted to the effect that the exercise has already been undertaken for putting to
Patna High Court CWJC No.518 of 2015 (2) dt.01-04-2016 2/2 an end the system of posting of Medical Officers on ad hoc basis or on deputation by ignoring the level of seniority. In view of the above, this writ petition is closed with direction to the respondents to expedite the process of completion of the exercise, which has been undertaken by them.
