The petitioner who is in custody since 28.03.2019 has filed the instant application for grant of bail in connection with P.R. No.289 of 2012 (Punpun) in Excise Case No. 26(2) of 2012 in Special Case No. 3714 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under sections 47(a) and (f) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

As per the allegation in the FIR, 80 litres of country liquor and 340 kg. of Mahua was recovered from the house of the petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that allegations are levelled in the F.I.R. are false and concocted.

The application for bail was opposed by learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the period of custody and the petitioner having no criminal antecedent, let the petitioner above named be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise Act, Patna in connection with P.R. No.289 of 2012 (Punpun) in Excise Case No. 26(2) of 2012 in Special Case No. 3714 of 2019.
