Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 376/511 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is that he entered into the house of the informant and attempted to commit rape on her. On alarm the people of locality reached there and disclosed about the occurrence. The informant and others have supported aforesaid fact before the police vide their statement in the case diary. The petitioner is in custody since 31.10.2016. Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present in connection with Pranpur Police Station Case No. 134 of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.53265 of 2016 (3) dt.16-01-2017 2/2 2016 pending in the Court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-1st, Katihar.

However, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after completion of nine months in custody if the trial is not concluded in the meantime and the court below shall consider his prayer favourably.
