In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Kochadhaman P.S. Case No. 82 of 2016 registered for offences under sections 290 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 47(a) of the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act, 2016.

An allegation has been made in the First Information Report that on secret information, two liters of liquor have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is in jail custody since 6.5.2016.

Looking to the period of custody as also the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, namely, Akalu

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.43317 of 2016 (2) dt.05-10-2016 Lal Rishidev @ Akalu, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kishanganj in connection with Kochadhaman P.S. Case No. 82 of 2016 (G.R. No. 642 of 2016).
