The petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under section 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioners are named in the first information report along with 14 other persons. No specific allegation has been made against the petitioners. One Sikir Ansari is alleged to have assaulted the informant with sword.

There is a counter version of the occurrence also. A proceeding under section 144 Cr.P.C. was also initiated in which the police submitted a report that the land belongs to the petitioners and their family members.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.28666 of 2015 (2) dt.23-07-2015 Considering the facts aforesaid, let the above named petitioners, in the event of arrest or surrender in the court below within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Siwan in connection with Mufassil (Mahadeva O.P.)
